Meet The Reinventor
Dec 15, 2024The Reinventor is done.
Done with the old grind—the endless hours at the gym and workouts that leave them sore for days, stealing energy they need for the rest of life. They’ve realized it’s not sustainable.
Why?
Because life has shifted. They’ve shifted. And their goals have, too.
No more pushing harder for the sake of it or because some hardbody on Instagram said to. Now, it’s about moving better. Feeling strong. Staying capable—not just for today but for the years ahead.
Let me tell you about Andy
Andy was a physically fit 54-year-old prior to Covid. He enjoyed going to the gym (he had two memberships!) and trained hard. He was also an avid golfer.
But then Covid hit, and the gym doors closed. In just over a year, Andy put on over 30 pounds. His wife (also a client) urged him to call me after a health scare landed him in the ER. Key indicators like cholesterol, blood sugar, and blood pressure weren’t looking good. The doctors feared he might have had a stroke.
Thankfully, the issue turned out to be benign. But for Andy, it was a wake-up call: “I’ve got to find a better way to get fit and healthy at home now!”
Andy didn’t have much equipment at home, and he was going to work with a coach 2,500 miles away. He was hopeful but skeptical.
Two months in, Andy was getting his groove back—fast and pain-free. I helped him set up the right equipment, create sustainable nutrition habits, and develop a physical practice that worked with his busy schedule. He was doing less while getting more out of his training so he could live stronger, longer.
Andy’s story is relatable—even to me. My own fitness journey has changed. A lot. But that’s a story for another time.

A New Approach
The Reinventor isn’t looking for just another program. They’ve tried those.
They want something that fits their life now—something that evolves with them, respects their limits, and grows their strengths. This isn’t about starting over. It’s about moving forward.
No More All-or-Nothing
The Reinventor knows the all-or-nothing mindset doesn’t work. They’ve been there. Done that.
What they’re after now, leaves room for living life while building strength and resilience. It’s about progress, not punishment.
Playing The Long Game
The Reinventor is ready to build something sustainable. A physical practice that makes sense for their goals—and their body.
They know reinvention doesn’t mean abandoning what they’ve learned. It means refining it. Making it better.
Because they’re not chasing the past.
They’re creating a future. One where they’re living stronger, longer in the second half of life.
"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit." – Aristotle
Your Reinvention Starts Here
Ready to start? Here are three things you can do today to begin building your physical practice:
1. Start Small and Keep It Simple
Pick one thing. Maybe it’s a 10-minute walk after dinner or a short movement snack every morning. The goal is to show up, even if it’s just for a little bit.
Tip: Use James Clear’s “Two-Minute Rule” to make it so easy you can’t fail. For example, commit to two minutes of mobility work for joint health. Once you start, you’ll often want to keep going.
2. Focus on Movement, Not Perfection
Choose movements that you can do and build confidence. Examples include mobility drills, simple strength movements (like crawling and carrying or hanging from a bar), or focusing on breathwork for two minutes.
Tip: Track your progress in a way that’s encouraging, not overwhelming—like writing down one win at the end of each session.
3. Build Habits – Consistency Over Intensity
Reinventors know showing up matters more than going all out. Commit to practicing consistently, even 2-3 days a week.
Tip: Pair your new habit with something you already do, like stretching while the coffee brews or holding a hardstyle plank during TV commercials. This habit-stacking technique makes it easier to stick with.
What Happens Next
These small actions might not feel monumental. But they’re the foundation of something powerful. One step done consistently becomes a habit that can turn into a practice. A practice becomes a lifestyle. And before you know it, you’ve reinvented not just your routine—but yourself.
Stronger. Smarter. Ready for the future you’re building.
Reinventors don’t quit. They evolve.
